Collaborate with us
The Shepherd Research Lab welcomes collaborators on its studies, including the Shape Up! Studies and the Hawaiʻi and Pacific Islands Mammography Registry (HIPIMR). We work with outside investigators as partners on shared projects, with SRL investigators on the team.
How it works
- Tell us what you want to do. Describe your question, the study or data you are interested in, and your funding status.
- We review it with the study investigators. If the idea fits, we shape it into a joint project.
- The project runs as a collaboration. Approved projects run under IRB approval, and analyses use the study data within that collaboration.
Expectations
- An SRL principal investigator is on the author list of every manuscript.
- All funders, scientific, federal, or commercial, are acknowledged.
- Authors take part in planning, analysis, and writing.
- Requests involving biologic samples need peer-reviewed funding before specimens are provided.
- Reasonable costs for data preparation and sample retrieval are charged to the project.
